I finally was able to photograph this one. It is my continued experiments with pattern recognition and controling of the veiwers eyes. (I did have to sub-out the background).
I have several standing dead Cedars on my property that I can turn into totems this year. A few with of a circumfurance greater then this one. The buy product of Global warming has been 5 years of drought which killed many of the cedars.
You might like some of the work of Christian Burchard. He's got a permanent installation at the Bellevue Arts Museum in Seattle, you can see that work here. You can also see some of his work on his website.
Interesting beginning with this. I think you should explore it further.
Thanks for the reference to Christian Burchard. I have checked out the work and some of it is very beautiful. Nice to see works of good sculptors. It is inspiring.
Beautiful curves and depth! Yup, my eye starts at the top and swirls back and forth to the bottom. Then I go up and start over. Very hypnotic. (I hope that's what you wanted me to do lol).
I can't help but see it 10 feet tall.
In cedar...
